The St. James Episcopal Church Concert Series for 2011 - 2012 features the following concerts, made possible by a grant from the McCormick-Smith Fund, Inc.:
Noted composer and Indiana University associate professor of music (organ), Bruce Neswick, presented a concert of organ masterworks as well as an extended improvisation on submitted themes on the St. James pipe organ. Immediately prior to his professor position, Mr. Neswick was Director of Music and Organist at New York’s famed Episcopal Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine.

Making its Louisiana debut, the Grammy nominated early music group, Ars Lyrica Houston opened the 2011-2012 season with a musical journey from worldly torment to heavenly ecstasy entitled Paradise Found. Internationally acclaimed French-Italian soprano Céline Ricci will join Matthew Dirst, Artistic Director, and core string and continuo players in music of Domenico Scarlatti, François Couperin and G. F. Handel.
