 Evangelism Messages
Sharing Christ - These weekly messages are brought to you by the Evangelism Committee of St. James Episcopal Church and School.
Friday, 25 November 2011
May each of us search out our own abilities and find our part in the work of the church. Here at St. James Episcopal Church, we are fortunate in having a good number who are very active in the work, but there is a need for more laborers. There are things not being done that could be done with more hands working.

In the church, we must not put everyone in the same mold. There is a need for the different talents of each one. Ephesians 4:16 says, “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

The Good News – that God has made salvation available to all people through Jesus Christ – reached much of the known world within just 20 years of Jesus’ death and resurrection. The spread of Christian message continues today through our lives. St. Teresa of Avila noted, ¨DWe are the hands and feet of Jesus.¡¬ Each one of us serves an integral part of God’s plan of salvation. Jesus’ charge to the disciples to ¨DGo¡¬ to all peoples everywhere and make them His followers stretches to every Christian today.

What can we tell people when we evangelize? What should we say? One way to evangelize is to tell people that we all are in need of salvation and that Jesus is the salvation that we need. “It is by the name of Jesus Christ…Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” - Acts 4:10, 12
