EPISCOPAL YOUTH COMMUNITY (EYC)
EYC enjoys meeting weekly for socializing, fun and reflection in a safe
Christian atmosphere. We typically have 7 – 8 students in attendance. Adult volunteers
included Debbie Fontenot, Bruce Barton, David Lind and Donna Whittington.
Several fundraising activities took place in the first six months of 2007. Gumbo and
poboys were sold after church on Super Bowl Sunday. The group also sold church
cookbooks (donated by the ECW) and 36 cups (donated by the Evangelism Committee).
The EYC
sold 51 church door plaques. Car
washes and garage sales are a few of the other fund raisers that the EYC did this year. Funds raised
helped to furnish the new Youth Building.
Our goal for 2007 is to help furnish the new youth building and to increase membership and
participation in EYC.
