The Adult Forum meets each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. in the Parlor just off the Parish Hall. Father Fred leads the various classes. All are welcome.
Jesus was the master of the parable! Deceptively simple, these timeless stories were used by Jesus to bring new life to old ways. The Adult Forum will engage this Kerygma curriculum to discover God's truth for today's dilemmas. This course of bible study will begin Sunday, January 15th and will continue throughout the season of Epiphany at least.
The primary text for this course is the Bible but please notify the Church Office of your intention to participate (445-9845 or via e-mail at parishsec@bellsouth.net) for the purpose of ordering resource materials.
Topics during recent years included "First Corinthians, One in Christ" by Robert A. Bryant, a several month study of "Simply Christian" by Bishop N. T. Wright, "The Challenge of Jesus" by N.T. Wright, and a study by John Dominic Crossen.
Children’s Study – Rita Klock, Ellen Inman, and Jonathan Rushing lead this hands-on approach to the events of Holy Week for children in Kindergarten through Grade 5 – begins February 26th in the Parish Hall at 9:15 a.m.
Children under kindergarten age are welcome in our nursery where the most beginning moments of Christian formation are experienced. St. James has a beautiful new nursery to accommodate all of our precious children.
